Our History
With the goal of creating a comprehensive family eyecare practice serving the Middle Georgia community, Dr. Anitha Kannan established Robins Eye Care, LLC in 2005. Located in Warner Robins, GA, we are proud of our diverse, caring, and friendly staff. Our experienced opticians will assist you in improving your vision—let us help you select the right frames, lens types, materials, and features that meet your needs, tastes, and lifestyle. We also provide all types and brands of contact lenses. Achieve and maintain optimal ocular health with our treatment and management of eye conditions. Dr. Anitha Kannan
Dr. Anitha Kannan earned her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from Michigan College of Optometry, MI in 2001. She grew up, got married, and lived in India until her family moved to the U.S. in 1993. Coming from a family of physicians, Dr. Kannan developed her passion for optometry very early in her educational career. She completed her Baccalaureate in Optometry (B. Opt.) at the Elite School of Optometry in Chennai, India in 1990, with a long-term objective of becoming a practicing optometrist. Her husband, Dr. Govind Kannan, is the Agricultural Research Director at Fort Valley State University. Their son, Varun Kannan, graduated from Emory School of Medicine and is currently doing a pediatric neurology residency at Texas Children’s Hospital. The Kannans are now naturalized U.S. citizens and have been a part of the great community of Warner Robins since 1997. Dr. Kannan enjoys authentic Indian cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
